Web of Life Animal Outreach Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue organization
founded on the principal belief that all living things are connected
and that the Earth's many species form an intricate web of life.
Through this web of life, we are all interdependent on each other,
and whatever fate befalls one species will eventually
befall every living thing (as defined by The Conservation Society
and in Chief Seattle's 1854 oration). Nowhere is this interdepency
better illustrated than with domesticated animals and humans.
Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to protecting the web of life
by saving injured, abused, neglected and unwanted companion animals,
while keeping an emphasis on education through demonstration.
Our mission is to find a loving, responsible, lifetime caregiver
for every companion animal in our program.
In addition, we will facilitate the end of euthanizing healthy animals
simply because there are not enough homes for them all.
It is our belief and strategy that education is the key
to achieving these goals. By teaching responsible pet ownership skills
and compassion for life to potential adopters and elementary school
age children, we will indeed changed the future.
One of our main goals is making sure that adopted pets
stay part of their new families for as long as they live.
By educating the adopting family about their newest member
and by offering classes to help with the adjustment,
we hope to find very low to no return rates.
Every adoption kit includes a new parenting guide
filled with helpful tips on integrating a new pet into the household,
food coupons, a collar and an identification tag.
No animal will be adopted out until spayed or neutered,
and reference checks and a home visit will have to be completed
and approved by a trained staff member of Web of Life Animal Outreach.
All this is done in an attempt to get the animal into the best possible home
and ensure that he or she is safe and well cared for
through the entire extent of their natural lives.
