McKenzie is a semi-feral, Maine Coon mix kitty. She is skittish, but withstand being held and pet -- if only to scamper away again. With love and patience, she can be the loving, friendly cats her other brothers and sisters have become.

We suggest people start out by putting the semi-feral cat in a small bathroom, bedroom or laundry room wiwth soft music on. Making frequent visits to the cat, you should speak softly, offer treats and work up to petting them, holding the cat after three or more 20-minute sessions a day for several weeks. You should see a vast improvement in the cat's social response. When the cat comes to you seeking attention, then open up the larger area to them, and so on until you are both sharing free-roam of the house.
